Sarah Hillyard
‘What if…?’ Imagination and creativity in the primary English classroom
What if every English lesson could spark imagination and creativity? What if children could explore, imagine, and create while learning the language? And what if our role as teachers was not to provide the answers, but to help children imagine new possibilities? In this session, we’ll explore creative pedagogy and possibility thinking. Using ‘What if…?’ questions as our guide, we’ll examine simple, practical exercises and real projects that allow children to engage their creativity, using examples from HELBLING’s primary series MARBLES.
Sarah Hillyard (MA, University of York) is an ELT consultant, teacher trainer, and author specializing in young learners.
