Recomendaciones de teens a teens

En el marco de la propuesta del Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires referida a las actividades de aproximación al mundo del trabajo  y a los estudios superiores para escuelas privadas, estamos recibiendo pasantes en las distintas sucursales de KEL.  

Aprovechamos su cercanía en edad e intereses con los alumnos de los colegios con los que trabajamos para pedirles que les contaran sobre sus lecturas favoritas. Y estas son las recomendaciones de teens a teens.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR DANCING - Penguin UK - Kel Ediciones 

It was published in 2021 by Penguin. The writer, Nicola Yoon, wrote this book during a hard time in her life, which was challenging because two of the people she loved the most were sick. But after two years she managed to write this book. Yoon is also the author of “Everything, everything” and “The sun is also a star”.  

“Instruction for dancing” is a fiction book with romance for young adults. Narrated in the first person, it tells the story of Evie Thomas, who doesn’t believe in love anymore after her parent´s divorce. As if that was not enough, she gains the power of seeing the beginning and the end of romantic relationships when people kiss. But, thanks to her dance partner X, we are able to witness the process of her believing in love again. Sometimes love and dance can mix. 

While I was reading this book, I was entertained, but it's not the kind of book that will affect your sleep. I'm the daughter of divorced parents and I understand how Evie feels about it, how it changes everything. Love is a scary thing that happens even when you're not looking for it, but only the brave ones can face it and do everything it entails. Love is a beautiful thing and this book teaches us about love and time. So, I really recommend reading it, especially for those who are afraid to love and how it will end. Therefore, if you are looking for a entertaining book that is not hard to read, this is the book for you.
